Carnival barceloneta

CARNIVAL in BARCELONETA

A colourful parade fills the neighbourhood streets. The Barceloneta neighbourhood celebrates carnival with a procession filling the local streets with colour and joy. The carnival troupes and bands will be setting out from Plaça del Mar at 11 am. The Carnavalada then continues along Pg. Marítim, C/ Pepe Rubianes, Pg, Joan de Borbó, C/ Sant Carles, C/ Conreria, C/ Andrea Doria, C/ Atlàntida, C/ La Maquinista, C/ Cermeño, C/ Ginebra and C/ Baluard as far as Pl. Poeta Boscà, where the festivities conclude at 3 pm. The Carnavalada is strongly linked to the neighbourhood, with local residents, social groups schools and civic organisations from Barceloneta all involved.
